The close friend of Mitchell Angela lost her life through a fatal car accident at the age of 15 years old. Mitchell discovered this to be incredibly hard and Angela was the source of inspiration for her song Angel that is featured on her debut album. The novel Chicken Soup For the Preteen Soul and the 7th Heaven episode "Nothing Endures But Change" include her personal story of the incident.
