Chando is a resident of New York City. Chando studied at Manhattan College prior to becoming an actor. Chando played the character of Maddie Coleman in the TV soap show As The World Turns from 2005-2007 and for a couple of months beginning in late 2009 her character was reprised. Alexandra first made an acting appearance in 2002 with the TV series House Blend in the role as Jenna Harper. As the World Turns, an CBS-produced American soap opera, lasted three years. Alexandra played Maddie Coleman. In 2009 Chando got a role in the American documentary TV show True life and further appeared in the TV series, Sherri. She starred two episodes in the American television show drama-comedy Glory Daze. Also, she was in Castle, Hindsight and Dead People.
